Northview’s Elias Flores, Myles Akers & Jeremiah Alcantara Won Individual Titles at Nogales Superchamps; Vikings Earned Team Championship

Another week, and another dominating performance by the Northview wrestling program.

Last week, the Lady Vikings thumped their competition at the Sonora Tournament of Champions.

Yesterday at the Nogales Superchamps, the Northview boys won the team title, and they boasted three individual champions.

NHS (230.5) finished 14.5 points ahead of second place Walnut (216) with nine placers.

Northview had three champs, two runners up, a pair of third place finishers and one at fourth and seventh.

Walnut had three champions, and Rancho Cucamonga secured a heavyweight title.

at 106 pounds, Walnut’s Brandon Valenzuela, Walnut pinned Damien Delgado (Rowland) at 1:20.

Kaiden Lepe claimed the Mustangs second crown by pinning Ricky Coronel (RCHS) at 3:58 in the 120-pound title bout.

At 126 pounds, Northview’s Elias Flores defeated Walnut’s Zander Rogers by tech fall, 16-1.

Myles Akers (Northview) won the 144-pound championship with a stick of Keppel’s Mathis Keslacy at 2:48.

Walnut’s Brady Williams defeated Zane Hindi (Rowland), 16-1, in the 190-pound title bout.

At 215 pounds, Jeremiah Alcantara (Northview) defeated Gabe Huerta (El Modena), 9-1.

Rancho Cucamonga heavyweight Brayden Kilgore pinned Montclair’s George Llamas at 4:00.
