Glendora put Friday’s Damien Classic opener to bed early.
The Tartans led 33-8 at the break, and they cruised to a 63-18 victory over Marquez at Charter Oak High School.
GHS was 25-of-41 (61-percent) on 2-point shots, and they made just 2-of-15 from 3-point range.
Jeremiah Garzon scored a game-high 13 points in limited minutes.
Garzon was 6-of-7 from the field, and he had two rebounds and a pair of assists.
Noah Rangel finished with eight points on 4-of-6 shooting.
Max Hilgenfeldt and Charley Hyer chipped in with seven points apiece.
Hilgenfeldt (4) and Hyer (2) combined to grab six rebounds.
Up next: The Tartans will battle Los Osos (11-5) on Saturday afternoon at Claremont High School.
