Northview had an historic weekend in Northern California.
The Lady Vikings crushed the competition at the Women’s West Coast Tournament of Champions.
NHS made the 425-mile drive home from Roseville having finished first as a team, and they had nine placers, including three champions.
The Vikings 235 team points was more than double that of second place Alisal (107) from Salinas.
No. 6 seeded Sophia Lazaro def. Giselle Solano (FEG), 7-6 in the 105-pound title bout.
Sophia Lazaro went 5-0 with three pins, a tech fall and the one-point decision in the final.
Sumaya Lazaro got a bye and then she pinned her way to the 140-pound championship.
Lazaro had four pins, including a stick of Khloe Meisenbach of South San Francisco at 3:16 in her final bout.
Jules Sitani pinned No. 2 seed Brynn Madden (Del Oro) with 11 seconds remaining in the third period.
Sitani, the No. 4 seed, went 4-0 including a pin to start and finish the tournament.
Sitani escaped the quarterfinal round with an 8-7 victory over Haru Duus of Freemont.
The list of Northview placers includes Zoey Vallejo (110, second place), Clarissa Cisneros (120, second), Mia Hooper (125, fourth), Eliana Garcia (125, sixth), Marci Cueva (130, third) and Juliet Salazar (135, fourth).
