Boys Hoops:

Perhaps the most important factor in maintaining a great rivalry is the competitive outcome each season.

And such is the case for the Bonita and San Dimas basketball programs.

In 2023-24, SDHS edged BHS, 44-42.

One year prior, the Saints outlasted the Bearcats, 73-69, in December.

Seventy days later, BHS ended SDHS’ season with a 59-58 victory in the quarterfinal round of the CIF-SS Division 3A playoffs.

Fast forward to December 15th of 2025, and Bonita left San Dimas with a 60-56 victory.

James Kim led BHS with 25 points, including an 8-of-10 effort from the free-throw line.

Carson Zylstra hit a pair of 3’s, and he finished with 12 points.

Beau Rudometkin contributed 10 points and Brayden Henderson had nine in Monday’s win.

Andrew Diep is back from injury, and the heart and soul of the Saints scored a team-best 25 points.

Diep hit four 3-pointers, and he converted on each of his free-throw attempts.

Angelo Fares had a solid night with 19 points, including three 3’s of his own.

Daniel Barrales added eight points for San Dimas.

Up next: The Bearcats travel to Don Lugo on Wednesday.

The Saints travel to Charter Oak on Thursday.
