Girls Hoops:
What a start for the Glendora girls’ basketball program.
The Tartans are 9-0 after Friday’s 74-28 victory at Patriot High School.
It also clinched Glendora the Notre Dame Tournament championship.
GHS has outscored its first nine opponents by a combined margin of 576-231.
On Friday, Glendora had a 13-1 advantage over the Warriors from behind the 3-point arc.
They led 53-19 at the half.
Freshman Remy Caine went off.
Caine scored a game-high 27 points.
And that included six 3-pointers.
Mia Reyes added 13 points, nine of which were beyond the 3-point line.
Reagan Herrmann finished with 10 points and Milana Luera had eight.
Herrmann was named the tourney MVP.
Caine and Luera earned spots on the all-tournament team.
Linda Lasike-Tu’uhetoka led Patriot with 17 points.
Up next: The Tartans travel to JW North on Monday evening at 6.
