Boys Athletes of the Week:

Northview won its sixth consecutive game on Friday.

Better yet, it was a 42-7 ass kicking at San Dimas.

The Lucero brothers played the starring roles in the Vikings fifth consecutive win over the Saints.

Since 2021, Northview has outscored SDHS, 160-42.

Robert Lucero, the NHS quarterback completed 14-of-17 for 285 yards.

That included three TDs and one interception.

He had a QBR of 137.9 and completed 83-percent of his passes.

All three of Robert’s TD strikes were reeled in by his brother, Isaiah Lucero.

Isaiah had five catches for 164 yards and three TDs.

He averaged 33 yards per catch, and a long of 83 yards.

Lucero also had four tackles and an interception that he returned 37 yards to set up another score.

For the season, Robert is 82-of-156 for 1,506 yards.

He’s tossed 18 TDs and five picks.

Robert Lucero has also gained 234 yards on 39 carries, including a team-best five rushing TDs.

Isaiah Lucero is a beast on both sides of the ball.

On offense, he has team highs in receptions (39), receiving yards (752) and TD catches (12).

On defense, Isaiah has 23 tackles and a team-best five interceptions.

Up next: The Vikings host Alta Loma on Friday, and they close out the regular next Thursday at West Covina.
