Football:
Bonita enters the final two weeks of the 2025 regular season on a five-game winning streak.
The Bearcats are actually 6-2 on the field, but after a 37-0 week-one victory over Diamond Ranch, BHS self-reported an ineligible player that entered the game with three minutes to play and a 37-point lead.
Trailing 7-0, Tai Thompson’s 3-yard TD run at the 10:45 mark of the second quarter pulled the Wolfpack even at 7-7.
Just over seven minutes later, Adam Hodgson’s 36-yard field goal gave Bonita a 10-7 lead that they would take to the break.
The second half was all Bearcats.
Levi Gregorich caught an 11-yard TD pass from Travis Lippert with just over four minutes to play in the third quarter.
BHS got a pair of fourth quarter TD runs to put the game on ice.
Sebastian Vasquez scored on a 5-yard run midway through the fourth period.
And Thomas Jimenez rumbled in from one yard out at the 1:55 mark.
Lippert got Bonita out to a great and quick start.
The BHS senior hooked up with Omari Sullivan on a 61-yard TD pass just 82 seconds into the contest.
Travis Lippert completed 13-of-21 or 211 yards.
He tossed the two TD passes and one interception.
Omari Sullivan caught three passes for 96 yards and the one TD.
Sebastian Vasquez carried the ball 18 times for 95 yards.
Matt Milazzo gained 54 yards on four carries.
Parker Alexander picked two passes on defense and Izik Rodriguez had one.
Stewart Graham led the BHS defense with nine tackles.
For Claremont, Jacob Lucas completed 11-of-22 for 151 yards.
Lucas didn’t toss a TD pass, and he was picked three times.
Max Leeper caught three passes for 79 yard.
Josiah Badger picked Lipper for the CHS defense.
Up next: The Bearcats travel to Los Osos and the Wolfpack hope to snap a two-game losing streak when they host last-place Glendora.
