Volleyball:
It wasn’t exactly how San Dimas wished the regular season had ended.
The Saints looked destined for an outright Hacienda League championship.
However, Alta Loma upended that perfect scenario.
Last Thursday, SDHS led ALHS 20-10 in the fourth game, but the Lions recovered and won in five.
Just 16 days prior, San Dimas had swept Alta Loma in their first showdown.
It also happened to be SDHS’ first league setback since September 18th of 2019.
While it was a big disappointment, the Saints had two options.
They could either feel sorry for themselves or display character by finishing the last two matches of the regular season strongly.
They chose the latter.

The Saints cruised to sweeps over Colony and Los Altos on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
SDHS and ALHS will share the 2025 Hacienda League championship.
On Wednesday, San Dimas finished out the regular season with a 25-10, 25-12 and 25-4 sweep of the Conquerors on senior night.
All six seniors started and played games one and three.
They played focused and together, according to Coach Joe Hanson.
Leanna Robledo (OH) and Janelle Marquez (set/oppo) both shined in starting positions they had not played all year.
Other seniors included Savannah Clelland (9 kills), Jacqui Martinez (3 blocks), Natalie Starkey (7 aces & 9 digs) and Jayden Hanson (13 assists, 5 aces & 13 digs)
Hanson said: “It was truly a team effort, and we are hoping to carry this momentum into the playoffs.”
Up next: The Saints will get their first round CIF-SS playoff opponent on Saturday morning at 9.
