Volleyball:
Etiwanda has inched even closer to securing the No. 2 seed out of the Baseline League on Thursday.
But it didn’t come easy.
The Eagles left Chino Hills with a hard-fought five-set victory.
EHS won by scores of 23-25, 25-10, 25-21, 23-25 and 15-8.
With two matches to play, Etiwanda has a two-game lead over third-place Rancho Cucamonga.

Lauren Furnald had 18 kills and 25 digs.
Kamryn Andrews provided 30 assists and 10 digs.
Mya Yaisrael chipped in with 11 kills and a pair of blocks.
Kaila Nassar added 10 kills and four blocks.
Nina Hemsley finished with 10 kills and 20 digs.
Mae Tauaese had 23 assists and six digs.
And Kylie Richardson provided 21 digs in the win.
Up next: The Eagles close out the regular season next week with a pair of league matches.
EHS will host RCHS on Monday and Upland on Wednesday.
Etiwanda can officially secure the league’s No. 2 seed with a win over the Cougars.
