Volleyball:

San Dimas stayed unbeaten in Hacienda League play.

But it took some work.

After dropping the first game to Colony, 23-25, the Saints rolled off winning sets of 25-10, 25-7, 25-18.

Jayden Hanson opened up the second set with six consecutive points serving three aces and San Dimas used that momentum to secure the night.

Hanson finished with 11 kills, three blocks, 17 assists and five aces.

Savannah Clelland contributed with 10 kills.

Taylor Smith and Juliana Piccazo chipped in with eight kills apiece.

Natalie Starkey ended the evening with 20 digs and four aces.

Up next:  The Saints travel to Los Altos on Tuesday at 6:30.

Quotable:

San Dimas coach, Joe Hanson: “Colony is a very scrappy team that came out and kind of punched us in the mouth on our home court in that first set. I was proud because the girls regrouped and started playing well-rounded team volleyball to finish the evening. Middle hitter Neriah Bobadilla also had five kills and three blocks to help shore up the middle in the final three games.

Records: San Dimas (19-8, 3-0); Colony (6-12, 0-3)
