Boys Basketball:
Dear Ayala Faculty & Sports Fans:
I hope this message finds you well. I am thrilled to share some exciting news about one of our exceptional student-athletes, Joshua Townsell, who was honored tonight with the CIF-Southern Section Jim Staunton Champions for Character Award.
This prestigious award recognizes student-athletes who embody the core values of “Victory with Honor,” celebrating those whose actions promote sportsmanship, integrity, and unwavering commitment.
Joshua’s dedication to excellence, both on and off the basketball court, makes him a perfect embodiment of this distinction.
His tireless work ethic, selflessness, and ability to prioritize the success of his team over personal accolades truly set him apart.
He is an outstanding representative of our school and community, and we are incredibly proud of him.
Many of you may have had the privilege of having Joshua in your class (or currently do), and I encourage you to take a moment to congratulate him when you see him.

While he may not seek the spotlight, the impact he has made on our basketball program, and the wider Bulldog community, is nothing short of remarkable.
To his teachers, I would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your role in his growth.
Your support has undoubtedly contributed to his success, and I know it means a great deal to him.
We are very proud of Joshua and excited for the final chapter of his journey as a Bulldog as he enters his senior year.
He is an excellent example of our school’s values and traditions, and we look forward to celebrating even more of his accomplishments this year!”
With gratitude,
