Boys Athlete of the Week:
When Pasadena took the field in its Pacific League opener against Burroughs on Friday night, the Bulldogs had gone 28 days without a win.
PHS secured a 42-3 victory over Cantwell Sacred Heart in week zero.
But since then, Pasadena dropped back-to-back games to visiting San Dimas (33-25) and at Norwalk (42-34).
And the Bulldogs had a week-three bye.
In stepped junior quarterback, Dutch Burbidge.
Burbidge accounted for 362 yards of total offense, including six touchdowns in a 54-14 beatdown of their visitors from Burroughs.
The CIF-SS champ of a year ago completed 18 of 27 for 313 yards.
He tossed four TD passes and didn’t turn the ball over.

Burbidge also led PHS in rushing.
He carried the ball five times for 49 yards.
And that included a pair of rushing TDs.
Burbidge would be the first to tell you that he had plenty of help.
Synncere Pitts caught five passes for 50 yards.
Kyle Robertson totaled 100 receiving yards on three catches and one score.
Damari Pitts led the receiving corps in catches (6) and receiving yards (113), including one TD.
Delano King caught three passes for 38 yards and one score.
And Sebastian Clark reeled in a 12-yard TD pass.
On the defensive side of the ball, Andrew Johnson led the Bulldogs with 11 tackles, while Michael Ambrose, Dior Middleton, J’hari Teasley-Hall and Justin Avila totaled nine tackles apiece.
Ambrose and King both scored on pick-sixes.
Through the first four games of his junior campaign, Burbidge has put up incredible numbers.
He’s completed 67-of-111 for 1,124 yards.
Burbidge has tossed 14 TD passes and zero interceptions.
He averages 281 yards through the air per game.
And he leads the Bulldogs with six rushing TDs.
