Max Grizzell Throws for 240 Yards, 3 TDs & He Ran for One Score in Pasadena City College’s 62-3 Victory at Santa Barbara

PCC dropped a 62-3 ass kicking on their hosts from Santa Barbara City College to even their season record at 1-1.

The Lancers got to empty their bench and featured nine players with at least one carry and 11 receivers with one or more receptions.

Jacob Riser’s 28-yard field goal with 14:05 to play in the first half pulled the Vaqueros to within 14-3 of PCC.

Unfortunately for SBCC, Pasadena City College would close the game on a 48-0 run.

The Lancers had a 506-332 advantage in total offense.

Max Grizzell had an effective night behind center.

Grizzell completed 10-of-14 for 240 yards.

He had TD passes of 75, 41 and 25 yards.

Grizzell also scored on a 1-yard TD run.

Ethan Hubbell caught three passes for 85 yards, including a 75-yard TD to get PCC on the board.

Jagg Richer had three receptions for 67 yards.

Josh Soto caught a 41-yard TD pass.

Mikey Guerrero had one reception for 48 yards.

Maddux Mateski totaled 38 receiving yards on three catches.

And Mateski’s 21-yard TD reception in the second quarter extended the Lancers advantage to 21-3.

Noah Triplett returned the second half kickoff 94 yards for a score.

Adam Huizar only gained 13 yards on three carries.

But he had fourth quarter TD runs of 8 and 3 yards to close out the PCC scoring.

Dom Ezeonye led the Lancers with 53 rushing yards on five carries.

Tae Gibson gained 43 yards on seven carries.

Ethan Tehe scored on a 7-yard TD run towards the end of the first half.

Xavier Buckles completed 8-of-12 for 132 yards, and he scored on a 4-yard TD run to give PCC a 48-3 lead with 5:36 to play in the third quarter.

Santa Barbara’s Cole Luekinga completed 26 of his 41 pass attempts for 289 yards with no TDs or interceptions.

The Lancers defense held the Vaqueros to 19 rushing yards.

Gabriel Sulaiman and Desi Valdez led the PCC defense with five tackles apiece.

Nathan Yarahmadi, Ethan Bowser, Kim Aseh, Jasun Ridley and Devon Jones totaled four tackles apiece in the win.

Up next: The Lancers will host Palomar next Saturday at 6.

The Comets (1-1) secured a 17-14 victory at ELAC.
