Etiwanda cruised to an 11-5 victory over Notre Dame in Friday’s first round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.
The Eagles led 9-1 before the Knights scored four times in the top of the sixth inning.
Michael Aleman went 5 2/3 innings, and he was charged with five runs (two earned) on five hits.
Aleman issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.
Jaxson Milius got the final four outs and allowed just one hit.
Larkin Fleming went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs.
Dominic Cadiz hit a solo HR.
Phelan Bucknor singled and scored a pair of runs.
Gabe Zebrack was 1-for-2, was hit by pitch, scored and drove in one run.
Tony Trejo walked and scored.
Malakye Matsumoto had one single for the Knights.
Juju Diaz-Jones got the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits over four innings.
He walked one and struck out five EHS batters.
LJ Roellig singled, scored twice and hit a three-run HR in the fifth to give Etiwanda a 9-1 lead.
Angel Mejia went 2-for-4 with two runs and a solo HR.
Ryan Severns doubled and scored.
Jaeden Toki walked, doubled and scored three times.
Derick Kim went 2-for-4, including an RBI single.
James Milam doubled in a run.
Frank Gonzales had an RBI single and scored.
Josh Adams was credited with two RBIs, including a sac fly and drew a walk.
Luke Mendoza had an RBI ground out.
