Three Maranatha pitchers combined on a no-hitter in Maranatha’s 8-1 nonleague victory over Quartz Hill.
MHS has won 17 of their last 19 games.
Zach Strickland went four hitless innings, and he was charged with an unearned run to earn the win.
Strickland didn’t issue a free pass, and he struck out nine.
Matt Vazquez provided 2 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings.
He walked one and fanned five.
Matt Kurkdjian got the final out to secure the no-hitter.
MHS pitching combined for one walk and 14 strikeouts.
Christopher Lozano got the loss after surrendering four runs on six hits over two innings.
Lozano issued one walk and struck out one Maranatha batter.
Josh Proctor went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs and a pair of RBIs from the leadoff spot.
Will Suslow singled, doubled, scored and had two RBIs.
Carson Kelly and Eric Zdunek singled and scored one run apiece.
