Softball:
La Salle put a 20-0 Santa Fe League thumping on St. Mary’s Academy in a five-inning mercy-rule contest.
Two Lancers’ pitchers combined on a five-inning perfect game.
La Salle turned eight Belles errors into 11 runs.
Havana Pagan went three scoreless and hitless innings.
Pagan didn’t issue a walk, and she registered six strikeouts.
Barbie Solis got the final six outs in order, including one via strikeout.
Forty-seven of Pagan and Solis’ 65 pitches were strikes.
Offensively, Aria Davis went 4-for-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI.
Pagan helped her own cause.
She walked, singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in one.
Layla Loya went 2-for-2 with a walk, double, two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Jadyn VanMeter singled and scored.
Reagan Bean drew a walk, singled and drove in a pair of runs.
Alyssa Lewis scored twice and had two RBIs.
Jadyn Shaver went 1-for-1 with a run and one RBI.
Kaeley Aldana walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
Aliyah Casas and Jaslene Meza walked and scored one run apiece.
Jadelyn Sherman went 1-for-2 with a walk, three runs and one RBI.
Natalia Nolasco and Jessica Young scored one run apiece.
Sibeal Murray had an RBI ground out.
Up next: The Lancers hope to catch first place Sacred Heart of Jesus today (Friday) when they host the Comets (9-0) at 3:15.
