West Covina remained one-game back of first place Northview after Thursday’s 10-1 victory over their visitors from Wilson.

Max Murillo got the win after going four scoreless and hitless innings.

Murillo walked two and fanned three WHS batters.

Isaac Infranca, Izaiah Hernandez and Marciano Ramirez provided one inning in relief apiece.

Infranca was charged with an unearned run on one hit.

He didn’t issue a walk and registered two strikeouts.

Hernandez allowed two hits, didn’t give a free pass and fanned a pair of Wildcats.

Ramirez retired the side in the seventh inning without a hit, walk or strikeout.

Jesus Castorena singled and scored.

Alex Han drove in a run on a sac fly.

Joshua Garcia got the loss.

Garcia went two innings, and he was charged with four runs on three hits and three walks.

Gavin Betancourt walked, singled, doubled and scored a pair of runs.

Isaac Infranca went 1-for-4 with a double, run and one RBI.

Gabe Diaz drew a pair of walks and scored.

Michael Gutierrez had two walks, a single and two runs scored.

Murillo walked, singled and scored.

Austin Nguyen went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.
