Reynolds Hits 3-Run HR in Bottom of 6 to Lead BHS to a 4-2 Victory Over GHS; Bearcats Secure Palomares League’s No. 2 Seed

Softball:

Bonita secured second place in the Palomares League thanks to Thursday’s 4-2 victory over their visitors from Glendora.

Leah Reynolds three-run HR in the bottom of the sixth inning turned out to be the difference.

Gianna Messick went all six for GHS, allowing four runs on seven hits.

Messick walked one and struck out four.

Koa Puppe had an RBI double.

Mia Guerrero singled twice and scored.

Camryn Van Valkenburgh walked, singled and scored.

Audrey Garza singled and scored.

Adrianna Mangini had one hit for BHS.

Skyler Lee went two innings, and she was charged with one run on three hits.

Lee walked and struck out one batter each.

Serenity Reyes provided five innings in the circle, and she allowed one run on two hits.

Reyes issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.

Ryan Torres hit a solo HR for GHS.

Morgan Gonzalez doubled and scored.

Kylie Coleman went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Kennedy Bowers walked and doubled.

Penny Dixon singled.

Up next: The Tartans and Bearcats host regular season finale contests on Tuesday.

BHS welcomes Ayala, and GHS hosts Walnut.
