Angel Mejia Went 4-for-5 w/a Double, Triple & Five RBIs in Etiwanda’s 19-2 Baseline League Victory Over Upland

The Upland baseball program will not look back at the 2025 season with fond memories.

The Highlanders have just four wins all season, and they’re 0-10 in Baseline League games.

UHS is on a 10-game losing streak, and they’ve dropped 13 of their last 15.

Jack Holguin went four innings to earn the win.

Holguin surrendered two runs (one earned) on three hits in EHS’ 19-2 victory over the Highlanders.

He issued one walk and fanned five UHS batters.

Noah Frias went a scoreless fifth and sixth innings, allowing one run, walking one and registering three strikeouts.

AJ Salazar got the final three outs, including two via strikeout.

Darien Maung went 2-for-3, including a double and one RBI.

Carson Kinnick drew a walk and scored two runs.

Julian Zambrano had a pair of singles.

Elliot Cresap drove in a run on a sac fly.

Dylan Trejo doubled in the loss.

Cresap got the loss after surrendering four runs on four hits and three walks over 2/3 of an inning.

Cresap struck out one EHS batter.

Etiwanda scored at least one run or more off each of the six Upland pitchers.

They out-hit the Highlanders, 16-5, and that included an 8-2 advantage in extra-base hits.

Angel Mejia had a monster game, going 4-for-5 and scoring two runs.

Mejia had a pair of RBI singles, an RBI double and a two-run triple to finish with five RBIs.

LJ Roellig singled, tripled, scored twice and drove in four runs.

Josh Adams went 3-for-4 with an RBI double, a solo HR and two runs.

Jaeden Toki drew a pair of walks, singled twice, scored three times and drove in three.

Ryan Severns walked twice, doubled, scored three runs and drove in one.

Justin Jackson walked, doubled, scored and had one RBI.

Luke Mendoza went 2-for-2 with a walk, double and three RBIs.

Derick Kim drew three walks, singled and scored three times.

Luke Severns walked twice and scored once.

Jaxson Milius walked and scored.

James Milan scored once for EHS.

With five games remaining, Etiwanda is now just one-game back of second place Damien.
