Los Altos is going to have nightmares of South Hills pitching in the next couple of nights.
On Wednesday, Joseph Moreno tossed a no-hitter and struck out 11 in a 7-0 home loss.
Fast forward 48 hours, and Elias Reyes went six scoreless inning and struck out 11 in the Huskies 4-0 victory.
Romero threw 65 strikes in 95 pitchers and walked a pair of LAHS batters.
Justin Romero went a scoreless seventh to secure the shutout, including one strikeout.
Miguel Arroyo and Ruben Maduray had one hit apiece for Los Altos.
Either Diaz had a solid outing of his own.
Diaz went all six innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits.
Diaz didn’t issue a walk and struck out one.
Ayden Vieth, Richie Soto and Wesley Manning had one double and scored one run apiece for SHHS.
Diego Villarreal went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Zack Escalera and Nicolas Munoz had one hit apiece.
Paxton Czubek scored once in Friday’s win.
Up next: The Huskies travel to San Dimas on Wednesday at 3:30.
The Saints are coming off a two-game sweep this week of Alta Loma by a combined margin of 20-9.
