Baseball:
Northview picked up the two-game Valle Vista League sweep of Covina on Thursday.
The Vikings secured 6-3 and 3-0 victories on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
Fernando Casas tossed a six-hit shutout for the Vikings.
Casas issued one walk and registered two strikeouts.
Damien Morimoto had half of the Colts’ six base hits.
Ryan Silva, Declan Bowers and Ricardo Alvarez had one singled apiece.
Bowers was charged with the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits over six innings.
Bowers walked one and fanned three NHS batters.
Northview scored twice in the top of the first inning, and they got one insurance run in the sixth.
Joey Ramos singled twice and scored.
Isaiah Benavidez went 2-for-3, including an RBI double.
Bobby Granados drove in a run on a sac fly.
Adrian Rodriguez and Timo Salinas scored one run apiece.
Jayden Chagollan doubled in the win.
