College Baseball:
PCC overcame an early 4-0 deficit to secure a 12-7 South Coast Conference victory over El Camino.
The win allowed the Lancers to leapfrog the Warriors into fourth place, and Pasadena is just two-games back of Long Beach in the win column for third place.
After suffering a couple of late-inning collapses, PCC wasn’t taking any chances against their state-ranked opponent from El Camino.
The Lancers scored two runs apiece in the sixth and seventh innings, and they plated four runners in the eighth.
Isaac Ton went five innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on 10 hits.
Ton walked one and fanned two batters.
Matt Garcia was credited with the win after going 2 1/3 innings and allowing two runs on one hit.
Garcia issued one walk and registered two strikeouts.
Aiden Nunez got the final five outs without any damage.
Nunez allowed one hit, didn’t walk a batter and struck out two.
Gil Solis scored, had an RBI single in the top of the first, and a two-run double in the third.
Matt Hammond went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs.
Slater Nunez walked and had an RBI double.
Lucan Bonham and Daniel Craig singled and scored one run apiece.
Ryan Matsukawa went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple.
Dylan Marez walked, singled, scored and had one RBI.
Gio Crow drove in a run on a sac fly.
Cameron O’Neil got the loss after allowing six runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings.
O’Neil issued three walks and struck out seven PCC batters.
The Lancers got six combined runs (three earned) off Tyler Tellenbach and Kona Agena on six hits.
The Warriors’ duo walked two and totaled three strikeouts.
Evan Nahra had a big game.
The former La Salle catcher went 2-for-3 with two walks, a run and three RBIs.
Nahra had an RBI double in the seventh and a two-run double in the ninth.
Bryan Richman doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs.
Omar Cisneros went 3-for-3 with a walk, double, two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Devin Munoz collected a pair of singles and scored two runs.
Devon Eskridge had an RBI single, an RBI groundout and scored.
Adrian Roman had an RBI single in the third inning.
Tyler Garcia drew a pair of walks and scored two times.
Joaquin Salcedo went 1-for-5 with a run and one RBI.
