The Titans secured a 4-2 victory over their visitors from Village Christian.
Caleb Newton went five innings and allowed two runs on five hits to earn the win.
Newton walked a pair and struck out three.
Nate Kar earned the save after providing two scoreless innings in relief.
Kar allowed one hit, didn’t issue a walk and registered two strikeouts.
Dallas Young and Johan Pelayo singled and scored one run apiece.
Blake Deckelman went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Gavin Chase walked and singled.
Nick Garcia went the distance for VCHS.
Garcia surrendered four runs (three earned) on seven hits.
He didn’t issue a walk and struck out one SMHS batter.
Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning, Tomas Bilvado hit a three-run HR.
Bilvado finished 2-for-4 with a run and all four RBIs.
Parker Wilson singled and scored a pair of runs.
JJ Wilson went 2-for-3 and scored.
Chase Mena and Aldo Cali singled once each for SMHS.
