MHS got out to a 5-0 lead and held on to defeat their hosts from Brea Olinda, 8-5, on Thursday.
Nico Rodriguez got the loss after allowing five runs on nine hits over four innings.
Rodriguez issued two walks and fanned one MHS batter.
Trevor Rivas went 3-for-4 with a walk, run and two RBIs.
Josh Proctor singled, doubled and scored.
Lukus Perez went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, run and two RBIs.
Mo Aguirre singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Zach Strickland singled and scored.
Eric Zdunek walked, singled, scored and had one RBI.
Yahir Treto drove in a run on a sac fly.

Dylan Hoang went five innings and allowed five runs (two earned) on six hits to earn the win.

Bradley Loiacono earned the save with two perfect innings in relief, including one strikeout.
