Ayala sure got payback.
Sixteen days ago, Glendora knocked off the defending Palomares League champs, 3-0, in 11 innings at AHS.
On Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs trounced the Tartans, 16-0, in five innings at GHS.
Ayala out-hit Glendora, 18-5.
Gianna Messick was charged with nine runs (six earned) on eight hits over four innings.
Messick walked four and fanned four AHS batters.
Penny Dixon surrendered six runs (five earned) on eight hits over one inning of work.
Viviana Jilek went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs and five RBIs.
Jocelyn Escobedo doubled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Jasmine Peralez singled twice, scored and drove in one run.
Isol Lopez walked, singled, scored and had two RBIs.
Taelor Walker singled twice and scored two runs.
Marisa Dominguez went 2-for-4 with a double, run and one RBI.
McKenzie Becerra singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in one run.
Lilanna Acosta drew a pair of walks, singled and scored three times.
Allie Lukaszewicz got the win after going four scoreless innings and scattering six hits.
Lukaszewicz didn’t issue a walk and fanned six GHS batters.
Ashlyn Hames got the final three outs.
Messick went 2-for-2.
Kennedy Bowers doubled, while Kylie Coleman, Morgan Gonzalez, Rylee Franks and Ayva Cabuena had one single apiece in Thursday’s loss.
