Monrovia pulled to within one-game back of first place La Canada after its 7-1 Rio Hondo League victory at South Pasadena.
Alex Myers went the distance and allowed one run on six hits to earn the win.
Myers issued one walk and struck out five SPHS batters.
Gabe Vogel went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Diego Gurfein singled and scored.
Dylan Lui, Brandon Woo and Cody Robinson had one single apiece for the Tigers.
Jon Bracamonte got the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Bracamonte walked two and fanned five Monrovia batters.
