Bonita opened defense of its Palomares League championship with a dominating 9-2 victory at Diamond Bar.
The Bearcats out-hit the Brahmas, 12-3, on Tuesday afternoon.
Quinton Mendoza was charged with six runs (five earned) on nine hits over six innings.
Mendoza issued a pair of walks and fanned four BHS batters.
The first three batters in the Bearcats lineup went 1-for-11, while batters 4-9 combined to go 11-for-21.
Andrew Sanchez doubled twice, scored and drove in one run.
Judah Reeve went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
LJ Vasquez walked, singled twice and scored.
Carlos Arredondo went 2-for-3 with a walk, double and three runs.
