Baseball:
Monrovia pulled off a twofer on Saturday.
The Wildcats won their own tournament and handed San Marino its first loss of the 2025 season.
David Lopez went six innings and allowed one run on four hits to earn the win.
Lopez issued four walks and registered seven strikeouts.
Greyson Lorenzini earned the save by going a perfect seventh inning, which included a pair of strikeouts.
JJ Wilson drew a pair of walks and scored.
Tomas Bilvado’s RBI double in the top of the third inning tied the game at 1-1.
Nathaniel Eberwein went 2-for-3, and Aldo Cali singled once for the Titans.
Colin Wildeman went 3-plus innings, and he was charged with two runs on three hits.
Wildeman walked two and fanned one MHS batter.
Caleb Newton provided two scoreless innings in relief.
Newton allowed two hits, walked one and struck out a pair of Wildcats.
Josh Griffiths walked and had a pair of singles, including an RBI base hit in the bottom of the first inning.

Isaias Hernandez had two of Monrovia’s six hits.
Micah Maljian walked, singled and scored.
