Eight are female wrestlers.
And three are just one win Saturday from competing for a CIF State championship.
Glendora’s Samantha Sachs (130), Northview’s Delarie Juarez (145) and San Dimas’ Charlene Smith (235) have earned spots in their respective weight classes championship semifinal.
Seven others are a first win on Saturday morning from guaranteeing themselves a podium spot.
The most notable blood-round match is an all-Valle Vista League rematch at 140 pounds.
Sumaya Lazaro (Northview) and West Covina’s Julie Cimarusti will face of for a fourth time this season.
Lazaro has a 2-1 advantage, including a victory at the CIF-SS Individuals and a team dual.
Cimarusti defeated Lazaro at the VVL Finals.
