Etiwanda committed eight errors on Wednesday.
And yet their ace, Alyssa Galindo went the distance and only surrendered one unearned run.
Unfortunately for EHS, Isabella Lopez tossed a two-hit shutout in Ganesha’s 1-0 victory over the Eagles.
Lopez didn’t issue a walk, and she struck out 10 batters.
Lopez fanned nine separate Etiwanda batters at least once, and 72 of her 92 pitches were strikes.
Mia Diaz tripled and Karrington Bennett singled for EHS.
Galindo only allowed two hits, the unearned run, and she struck out five batters without issuing a walk.
Of Galindo’s 64 pitches, 48 were strikes.
Neveah Wilson singled, and she scored the game’s lone run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Mia Salas singled for the Giants.
