The Chargers survived, 44-37, over their visitors from Bell Gardens, in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 5AA playoffs.
COHS combined to outscore BGHS, 34-19, in the first and third quarters.
Alexa Bryan had a game-high 24 points to lead the way.
Bryan outscored Bell Gardens, 12-9, in the first quarter.
And she scored 22 of her 24 in those decisive first and third periods.
Bryan also grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds.
Raynise Bessara chipped in with nine points.
Daysha Garcia had six points, and Sophia Farrar provided four points in the win.
Eliza Villalobos and Deanna Moore scored 12 points apiece for the Lancers.

The Saints (12-12) edged Carpinteria, 41-37, on Thursday.
