Girls Soccer:
In yet another CIF-SS playoff formula failure, the Mission Valley League champs from Marshall Fundamental had to drive 70 miles to Nuevo.
For some reason, Nuview Bridge, a third-place program from the South Valley League was awarded a first-round home game in the CIF-SS Division 7 playoffs.
The Lady Eagles took care of what they could control, and they came home with a 3-0 victory.
Corazon Adomou secured a Hat Trick.
Adomou scored twice in the first half, and one more time in the second.
Aly Saldana had one assist.
Up next: The Lady Eagles host Oakwood on Friday at 5.
The Owls (11-6-1) shut out their visitor from New Roads, 4-0, in Wednesday’s first round contest in North Hollywood.
