Boys Athlete of the Week:
To say Aaron Glass put RCHS on his back in the Baseline League Tournament title game is not hyperbole.
The RCHS senior had 38 points in the Cougars’ 62-58 victory over Etiwanda.
That equates to Glass providing 61-percent of their offense on Wednesday evening.
He also hit six 3-pointers.
The Texas A&M-bound guard went 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.
Glass had 16 more points than Etiwanda’s top scorer, Sloane Harris, who finished with 22.
And he totaled 28 more than his next closest teammate (Mckel Shedrick, 10 points).
EHS had the lead from midway through the first quarter all the way to the 54 second mark of the fourth quarter.
He also tallied six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
The Cougars went 5-0 in the regular season Baseline League games, and they defeated Los Osos and Etiwanda in the league tournament.
It’s their first league championship since 2013.
