Boys Basketball:
It had to be bittersweet for the Pasadena players to walk back in their gym 48 hours after Saturday’s 76-75 Pacific League loss to Crescenta Valley.
The Falcons overcame a 14-point second-half deficit to stun the Bulldogs.
So, how would PHS respond?
Tony Brooks’ boys took out their frustration on Burroughs in an 84-50 beatdown.
The Bulldogs led 44-18 at the half after a 25-6 run in the second quarter.
Pasadena is now 5-1 in league games with one to go.
PHS had seven players that scored seven points or more.
Derek Jordan led the Bulldogs with 14 points.
I’ke Mitchell and Brandin Carpenter chipped in with 13 points apiece.
Daniel Beltran scored a game-high 15 points for Burroughs
Nico Meza contributed 10 points in Monday’s loss.
Up next: The Bulldogs travel to Muir on Wednesday at 6:45 in the regular season finale.
Unless Arcadia claims a road victory on Tuesday at Crescenta Valley, PHS will finish second in the Pacific League.
