Girls Basketball:
The La Salle girls’ basketball program honored the winningest player in program history.
Kaden Cortes may have only scored six points in the Lancers 53-25 over Saugus on Saturday night.
But the senior is the epitome of a winner.
The Lancers had a 34-12 lead at the half, and the outcome was never in doubt.
In her four years as a La Salle guard, the program has gone 105-19.
With Cortes on the team, the Lancers have won 85-percent of their games.
Casey Higgins, per usual, led La Salle in scoring with a game-high 22 points.
Aislin Tamez Torres chipped in with eight points.
And Maddy Chiang contributed six points in the win.
Jasmine Garcia hit two of Saugus’ three 3-pointers and she led the Centurions with 10 points.
Up next: The Lancers close out the regular season on Tuesday when they host St. Monica at 7.
