Girls Basketball:
Bonita took control early and they never took their foot off Glendora’s proverbial throat in Thursday’s 45-25 Palomares League victory at GHS.
BHS opened the game on a 20-4 run.
They had a 6-1 advantage in 3-pointers.
Both programs struggled from the field.
In fact, neither Bonita or Glendora scored for the first five minutes of the fourth quarter.
Brooke Van Duyne led the Bearcat with 14 points, including three 3-pointers.
Jayden Uballe and Lexi Mercado provided 10 points apiece in the win.
Tressa Beatty ran the offense effectively and she finished with eight points.
Reagan Herrmann scored a game-high 18 points for the Tartans.
Briana Gomez (5) and Mia Reyes (2) accounted for the rest of the GHS offense.
With one game to play, Bonita trails first-place Claremont by one game.
In Tuesday’s regular season finale, BHS heads to Ayala, while Claremont visits second-place Diamond Bar.
