Boys Basketball:
Damien won its first Baseline League Tournament game in program history.
The Spartans cruised to an 89-42 over Upland on Wednesday night.
DHS put the game away in the second quarter when they went on a 35-6 run.
Damien also hit 14 3-pointers.
Elijah Smith scored a game-high 23 points, including four 3-pointers.
Eli Garner (17) and Zaire Rasshan (13) combined for 30 points.
They also drained three 3-pointers apiece.
Des Tetteh led the Highlanders with 15 points.
Devon Davis contributed eight points in the loss.
Up next: The Spartans travel to Etiwanda on Friday evening in a semifinal round contest.
EHS defeated DHS, 56-39, last Friday in their one Baseline League showdown.
