Boys Basketball:
Etiwanda secured the Baseline League’s No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in next week’s Baseline League Tournament.
The Eagles earned that spot thanks to Friday’s 56-39 victory at Damien.
EHS trailed by three points at the half, but they outscored the Spartans, 34-14, the rest of the way.
Jacob Coleman and Sloane Harris scored 12 points apiece to lead the EHS offense.
Harris (10) and Coleman (9) scored 19 of their combined 24 points during the second-half run.
All 12 of Coleman’s points came from beyond the 3-point arc.
Devin Mitchell chipped in with 11 points and AJ Orji provided nine points in the win.
Lucas Arrieta and Eli Garner led Damien with eight points apiece.
Elijah Smith finished with seven points and Zaire Rasshan scored six points on a pair of 3-pointers.
