Girls Basketball:
La Salle climbed into a second-place tie in the Del Rey League with St. Anthony on Thursday evening.
The Lancers did that by blowing out the Saints, 59-31, in Pasadena.
Casey Higgins had a memorable night.
Higgins scored a game-high 21 points.
And she joined the 1,000-point club.
Kaden Cortes hit all three of the Lancers’ 3-pointers and she finished with 11 points.
Laila Hughes led St. Anthony with 11 points.
And Kadence Lloyd had nine points in the loss.
Up next: The Lancers travel to St. Anthony on Saturday at 4.
