Boys Basketball:
San Dimas evened its Hacienda League record at 2-2.
The Saints edged their visitors from South Hills, 66-59, on Wednesday evening.
SDHS used a 41-33 run in the second half to distance themselves from the Huskies.
Luke Chavez scored a game-high 20 points.
Chavez scored half of San Dimas’ 24 points in the fourth quarter.
Jeremiah Garzon had 19 points, and Nathan Yearout chipped in with 13 points.
Samuel Barajas led South Hills with 17 points.
And that included five 3-pointers and two free throws.
Sean Jones provided 15 points, and Andy Barajas scored 11 points in the loss.
Andrew Diep chipped in 12 points for the Saints.
Yearout (3) and Diep (2) accounted for SDHS’ five 3-pointers.
Cruz Valdez hit a pair of 3’s, and he finished with eight points in the loss.
Up next: South Hills travels to Alta Loma on Friday at 6:30, and San Dimas will visit Alta Loma next Wednesday at 6:30.
