Girls Basketball:
Glendora just put itself back in contention for a Palomares League title.
The Tartans secured a 40-34 victory at first-place Bonita.
GHS outscored BHS by three points apiece in the first, second and third quarters before the Bearcats had a 12-9 advantage in the fourth period.
With six games to play, Bonita, Diamond Bar and Claremont share the Palomares League penthouse with identical 3-1 records.
GHS is one-game back of the Bearcats, Brahmas and Wolfpack.
Glendora had a narrow edge (6-5) in 3-pointers.
Reagan Herrmann led GHS with 15 points.
Brianna Gomez hit three 3’s, and she finished with 12 points.
Bonita had a rare offensive night, as they got scoring from just three of its players.
Lexi Mercado scored a game-high 22 points for BHS.
And that included three 3’s.
Tressa Beatty chipped in with nine points.
