Boys Basketball:
San Dimas opened its first year in the Hacienda League with a 79-66 victory over their visitors from Alta Loma.
The Saints outscored the Braves 42-32 in the second half to pull away.
Luke Chavez continued to lead the SDHS offense with a game-high 29 points.
Nathan Yearout hit a pair of 3’s, went 4-of-4 from the free-throw line and he finished with 18 points.
Jeremiah Garzon chipped in with 15 points and Angelo Fares had nine.
Markel Geary led the Braves with 11 points, while Jeremiah Knight and Ziyon Guerrero pitched in with 10 points apiece.
Up next: SDHS will travel to Los Altos on Wednesday, and ALHS will host the Conquerors next Friday.
