Girls Wrestling:

Northview, San Dimas and Etiwanda had strong showings at this Week’s Bonita Lady Top Gun Tournament.

The Saints, Vikings and Eagles had team finishes of third, fourth and sixth place, respectively.

Santa Fe led the way with 276 points, in spite of going 0-for-4 in title matches.

In all, 11 of the 14 tourney champs were from 210 Prep Sports programs.

NHS won a tournament-best four individual championships, while San Dimas was second with three.

Los Osos’ Mackenzie Matthews pinned Gabriela Martinez (Santa Ana) at 0:34 to claim the 100-pound title.

Northview’s Marie Saldana stuck her teammate, Zoey Vallejo, at 1:32 in the 110-pound final.

Izzy Frost (Northview) secured a 115-pound title after pinning Ramona’s Jayden Murillo in 95 seconds.

SDHS junior, Lei’ani Jaime, was crowned the 120-pound champ after her 11-1 major decision over Aliso Niguel’s Erica Montes.

Etiwanda’s Aryanna Garcia pinned Moriah Capp at 3:20 in the 120-pound final.

Northview’s Marci Cueva earned the 130-pound championship after pinning Santa Fe’s Melanie Rodriguez in 55 seconds.

NHS’ Juliet Salazar was the 135-pound champ thanks to a pin over Kailynn Santa Maria of Santa Fe in 4:18.

Ayala’s Tatiana Chavarin secured the 155-pound title by defeating Alta Loma’s Jaslyn Martinez via tech fall, 17-0.

Etiwanda’s Isabella De La Vega pinned Ayala’s Mia Britt at 2:58 in the 170-pound title bout.

Aubreyelle Baeza of San Dimas clinched the 190-pound championship after pinning Newport Harbor’s Charlie Falomir in 1:51.

San Dimas heavyweight Charlene Smith pinned Jaeleen McLellan of Santa Fe at 1:50 in their title match.
