Boys Basketball:
Ayala earned Palomares League victory No. 1 on Thursday.
The Bulldogs outlasted their host from Diamond Bar, 65-61, and they improved to 1-2 in league games.
AHS had an eight-point lead (36-28) at the half.
Jeremy Serrano led Ayala with 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and eight steals.
Milo Tun chipped in with 14 points, three rebounds, and he went 3-of-6 from 3-point land.
Joshua Townsell provided 12 points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Tyler West scored a game-high 23 points to go with six rebounds for Diamond Bar.
However, West was 6-for-18 from the field.
Jedison Chow chipped in with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
Chow also had three rebounds, three assists and four steals.
