Wrestling:
Six wrestlers from 210 Prep Sports programs won individual Damien Tournament titles on Saturday.
The marquee final had to be state qualifiers, Jacob Bell of Etiwanda versus Bonita Tristan Fernandez in the 150-pound title tilt.
Fernandez defeated Bell, 15-10.
Etiwanda finished second as a program, but they did not have an individual champ.
Bonita was fifth, and just two points back of fourth-place Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas.
The Bearcats Elias Echeveste pinned Adrian Hernandez (Canyon Springs) at 1:32 in the 106-pound final.
San Dimas’ Daniel Baeza cruised to the 132-pound championship.
Baeza defeated AB Miller’s Griffin Hettinga by technical fall, 17-0
At 165 pounds, Chino Hills’ Roberto Santos edged Richard Trujillo of Canyon Springs, 7-5.
Damien’s Anthony Caso earned the 175-pound crown with a 2-0 victory over Capistrano Valley’s Matin Ghanavat.
Upland’s Keith Warren pinned Santa Fe’s Fernando Toscano at 5:53 to claim the 215-pound title.
