Girls Basketball:
La Salle picked up victory No. 8 of the new season on Tuesday.
The Lancers opened Burroughs Tournament play with a 53-38 victory over Canyon.
Casey Higgins scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Lancers.
Maddy Chiang hit a pair of 3’s, and she finished with 10 points.
Kaden Cortes also chipped in with 10 points.
Darby Dunn had a game-high 15 points for Canyon.
Shannen Wilson scored 10 points in the loss.
Up next: The Lancers host Santa Monica on Thursday night at 5:30.
