Nathan Yearout Scores 22 Points in San Dimas’ 73-65 Victory Over San Marino; SDHS Finishes Third at Gary Prestesater Tourney

Boys Basketball:

San Dimas trailed San Marino by seven at the break in the third-place game at their own (Gary Prestesater) tournament.

The Saints, however, went on a 48-33 second half run to secure a 73-65 victory.

Nathan Yearout hit three 3’s and finished with a game-high 22 points.

Jeremiah Garzon chipped in with 17 points and Luke Chavez contributed 16 in the win.

Casey Chan made a pair of third-quarter 3-pointers, and he led San Marino with 18 points.

Zachary Fong finished with 11 points and Zane Daoud had 10.

Fong and Daoud hit two 3-pointers apiece.

San Marino’s Chan and San Dimas’ Yearout earned all-tournament honors.

Up next: SMHS will host Gabrielino on Monday at 7.

And SDHS will battle La Canada on Tuesday at 7:30 at the Glendora Tournament.
