Boys Basketball:
Glendora has earned a spot in Saturday’s Gary Prestesater Tournament final.
The Tartans secured an impressive 71-54 victory over San Marino in Friday’s semifinal.
GHS led 15-4 after one quarter, and they now have tournament wins over Diamond Ranch, Chino Hills and San Marino.
Colton Gray had another big night with 23 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.
Max Hilgenfeldt chipped in with 15 points.
Vince Montalbo contributed 14 points and six rebounds, including four 3-pointers.
Sebastian Demano finished with eight points, four rebounds and four assists.
San Marino’s Casey Chan scored a game-high 25 points.
Chan hit three 3-pointers, and he scored 22 of the 25 in the second half.
Marcus Chen and Mitch Mooney provided eight points apiece for the Titans.
Six of Chen’s eight points came from behind the 3-point line.
Up next: The Tartans will battle Capistrano Valley Christian tonight at 7:30 for the tournament championship.
The Eagles cruised to a 76-62 victory over San Dimas.
San Marino will battle SDHS at 6 in the third-place game.
