Gomez Scores 19 Points in GHS’ 66-33 Victory Over Compton Centennial; Tartans Finished Third at Calvary Chapel Tourney

Girls Basketball:

Glendora put Friday’s showdown with Compton Centennial to bed early.

The Tartans cruised to a 66-33 victory to earn third place at the Calvary Chapel Downey Tournament.

GHS led by 11 after the first quarter, and they took a 42-14 lead into the half.

Brianna Gomez had a game-high 19 points, and the Tartans senior earned all-tournament honors.

Reagan Herrmann chipped in with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Kamryn Kuo had nine, and Mia Reyes finished with seven points and seven boards.

Milana Luera had a team-high 11 rebounds to go with her four points.

Erin Jackson (15) and Aurbrianna Flowers (12) combined to score 27 of Centennial’s 33 points.

Glendora beats Centennial (Compton) 66-33 to take 3rd place in the Calvary Chapel Tournament.

Up next: Next game: GHS will battle Highland on Monday at 7 at the Burroughs Tournament.
