Girls Basketball:
Glendora got out to a strong start at Thursday’s Calvary Chapel Downey Tournament.
And the Tartans would cruise to a 62-38 victory over Arcadia.
GHS led by 13 points after the first quarter, and the outcome was never in doubt.
Brianna Gomez had game-highs in points (27) and 3-pointers (6).
Reagan Herrmann had a huge game with 18 points, seven rebounds, six steals, five assists and three blocked shots.
Milana Luera had four points and 11 rebounds.
Kelly Zhang led Arcadia with 10 points.
Shirley Freeman scored eight points and Hailey Lam had seven in the loss.
Up next: The Tartans face Centennial (Compton) today (Friday) at 4:30 at Calvary Chapel Downey.
